Welcome to the new CPSS Interact website!

Hi! My name is Deva, and I'm one of the technology officers for the 2020/2021 school year. Anant (the other technology officer) and I have been working super hard on getting this new website ready for you guys, and this introductory post is meant to teach you the basics on how the website works, section by section.

About: This page gives the rundown on Interact and what we stand for. A new feature we implemented this year was our Meet the Team section. Here, you can see all of the execs, our roles, and get our contact information if you need to reach out to any of us for a specific question or comment. Throughout the school year, we hope to build a closer bond between execs and general members, and this is one of the first steps.

Calendar: This page is linked to a Google Calendar which will have dates for all meeting and upcoming events; anything you would need to know about if you're a general member. This page will also have sign-ups for events when they are coming up. You can see what the event is going to be like, and reserve tickets online.

Get Involved: This is another brand-new feature we implemented this year. Through this page, we list ways for everyone to get involved in their local communities. Because of restrictions due to COVID-19, we made sure to list online volunteering sites and resources that can fit everyone's schedule and skillset. Under the Get Involved tab is a Cause of the Month tab. Each month our cause of focus will change, and under this tab we will post resources, articles, Youtube videos, petitions, donation links; anything to educate yourself and get involved. Our cause of the month for September is Black Lives Matter, so please check out our resources.

Interactor of the Month: Surprise! Another new feature! Every month, executive members will choose one general member to highlight on this page. Someone who has shown great leadership, care, and truly lives out Interact's motto of "service above self." Make sure to check back every month to see who we choose.

Our Impact: This is the page that will act as an online photo album of past events Interact has hosted, from Project Amigo to Toasty Toes. If this is your first time joining, you can see what Interact is like. If you're coming back, maybe you'll see yourself on that page!

Contact Us: when you click on this tab, it will take you to a form you can fill out for any comments, question or concerns you may have. Just fill it out, send it in, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Our email, Twitter and Instagram are also linked below, and on the home bar for easy access.

Blog: I decided to save the best for last. Our blog is something we hope to build up in the future, and this is the introductory post! This can be an outlet for students to write about the cause of the month, different causes they're passionate about, or anything related to social justice that you want out there. If you're interested in something like that, you can click the button on the bottom of the page, or email centralpeelinteract@gmail.com. Make sure to add a Word or PDF file of your article, and if you want, you can add your name and grade.
